Whiting & Davis brand of elegant evening bag. Very old. Belonged to Grandmother who would have carried it in the 60s and 70s. Probably purchased at her favorite boutique, Carlson Sisters, in Jamestown, NY. Or perhaps Bigelow's Dept. Store on 3rd Street.
Measures 7 1/2" wide at base and just over 4" height. Interior silk lining showing age but not stained or dirty. No handle; clutch only. Comes in the box that I received it; old Avon 'Modern Mood' box from when Avon carried small handbags.
