In need of major TLC, is this 14 inch unmarked composition doll from the late 1930s or early 1940s.

One of the original owners mistook her for a Madame Alexander Princess Elizabeth from 1937. She is NOT a Princess Elizabeth. I cannot be 100% sure because of the lack of evidence, but I believe she could be an Arranbee Nancy Lee. The shape of the face, hairstyle and dress are similar to those dolls.

Her wig is mohair and I think it could be saved. The dress is in tatters, at least the overlay portion. Could be spruced up if you are handy with needle and sewing. Panties tattered and possibly original.

She a bubble type raising around her right eye. Fingers missing (except thumb) on left hand. There is some crazing and loss of paint.

If you are new to collecting these dolls, do not throw away original wig and dress. Store it away to keep original items and possibly help with identification later.

Could use restringing. Stand Not included.
